I am currently reworking the site. I am just tired of having to remove a ton of spam from the site so I have changed it up. We will see how this goes else I am half temped to just shut down. No one bothers to read some of the issues that are at hand, and making DEMANDS that I fix things. I try to fix what I can, but I haven’t had much time nor drive to work on it since it works fine for me. The code is all right there if you want to do some work on it feel free. You could also send those changes back to me and I will give you due credit and much much praise!
Currently I have noticed the following issues.
1. Using the WMP and the Widget on a new Intel Mac will not work.
2. Using Flip4Mac seems to fail to unload when the widget flips so that you can choose the next channel. So you get mulitple instances of music playing. Just do a Apple + R when you want to change the channel.
For the best working senario you will need to be running Tiger on a PPC CPU with Windows Media Player installed. Right now there are some issues with Flip4Mac not unloading properly on changing channels so all of you new Intel users are going to have problems. I am sorry it can not be avoided as of right now. One more thing, you only need to register here if you want to post comments on my entries. I will be setting up one forum to encompass all of the shadoworks.net family once that is setup please register there to discus my widget. For another note, registering here is NOT the username and password for the widget’s settings panel. YOU MUST USE YOUR XM ONLINE ACCOUNT!
As of posting this the old site still remains, but it will be taken down soon. It has been bombarded by spam bots and I am sick of it.
I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but we have moved providers for more bandwidth. See we also use this space for our CS:S servers fast download site and we burned through 100Gigs of transfer in 16 days! So then our server could not support our players because there was no quick way of them getting the custom models and maps. But now that we are back and we have the bandwidth we need to stay in bussiness! Right now the forums are down, but they should be back shortly. If you have posted a comment here and I have not approved it, it’s because in another post I asked everyone to use the forums for their issues. I will put out some more updates as we get settled in to our new home.

Maybe I should explain.. We have moved because we also host a Counter Strike: Source server. We are currently running Zombie on it. So I thought that I should make the site reflect this. Please be aware that it’s not completely finished. This also leads it to looking silly (sillier?) in IE since IE hates pngs. Also there is nothing in the menu, but it does drop down and look pretty!
So all you Mac users coming to visit to get the XM Radio widget please don’t run off scared.

The gallery is still down. I am working on this, not like it gets much traffic, but I think it would be nice if I updated this site once and a while.
Yes have no fear the forums are back. Horray and jump for joy! The CS:S forums are more active than anything else but this is to be expected. But for those of you having trouble with XM Widget PLEASE post in XM Radio section. I know it looks empty, but I am sure as soon as one person starts posting it will snowball!
I hear that there may be a new version of my widget on the horizon. But be forwarned! This will be a flip4mac only version. If you are working fine with the old version and WMP please don’t get this one. I just want to save you the headache. Also, wanted to give thanks to Neowin.net’s Liquid for helping me out with the new design. Maybe I will temp you with a screenshot soon!

Looks like I have a WIP shot for you all. It’s not there yet and this could change at any moment, but I am cleaning things up and more worried about the code behind it than the front at this point. Without the code behind, We can’t make the front pretty like we want. Right now the front is missing its play and stop buttons along with the volume control. We are thinking about how to make them as small and unobtrusive as possible!

I am off to Vegas for a week! So, while I was waiting around I made a new theme for the time I will be gone! Don’t miss me too badly everyone. Who knows, maybe I will be done my XM Widget soon after I get back! Well wish me luck! I am outta here!
